In this workshop, you’ll learn how to properly respond to and manage actively swarming bees, with an emphasis on safety, calm decision-making, and respect for both bees and property owners. We’ll walk through proper swarm protocol and basic field etiquette step-by-step, so you know what to do from the moment a call comes in until the bees are safely collected. You’ll get an overview of swarm behavior, how to assess a situation on arrival, and best practices for communicating clearly and confidently with the public. This training is required for new members who want to be added to the ABQ Beeks swarm list. You only need to attend ONE of the two available dates—March 7 or March 21, starting at 2:00 PM and typically wrapping up around 5:00…
