About the event
Join ABQ Beeks for a one-day Community Garden Cleanup Day at 1120 Mis Abuelitos Drive NW in Albuquerque! From 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, we’ll work side-by-side to clear debris, tidy pathways, and refresh garden beds so our shared green space can truly thrive for both neighbors and pollinators. This volunteer day is all about community, connection, and care for the environment. We’ll focus on creating a safer, healthier habitat for bees and other pollinators while keeping the garden beautiful and welcoming for everyone who visits. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener, a new beekeeper, or just someone who loves being outdoors, there’s a job for you. Expect light to moderate outdoor tasks such as trash pickup, raking, weeding, and general garden clean-up. Come dressed for the weather in comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes, and bring a reusable water bottle, sunscreen, and work gloves if you have them. We’ll provide basic tools and guidance on pollinator-friendly practices. This event is perfect for individuals, families, and groups who want to give back—even if you only have a couple of hours to spare during the 10 AM–2 PM window. RSVP to let us know you’re coming so we can plan tools and tasks, and help us spread the word to others who care about supporting pollinators and their habitat. Together, we’ll make a real difference in just one day and help our community garden buzz with life for the season ahead!
